Skinny signs manufacturing, distribution deal with Cott subsidiary
Skinny Nutritional, a Pennsylvania-based producer of zero-calorie enhanced water, has signed an exclusive manufacturing and distribution agreement with the Cliffstar subsidiary of the Cott Corporation.
As per the agreement, Cliffstar, a beverage company that focuses on private label and contract manufacturing, will manufacture and distribute Skinny Nutritional's line of Skinny Water zero-calorie beverages to select new and existing customers through its retail channels.
The agreement also includes raw materials procurement, research and development, freight management and retail inventory management.
Skinny CEO Michael Salaman said the agreement allows the company to do business with some of the largest retailers in the country and concentrate resources on marketing and sales.
Skinny Water comes in eight different flavors including Acai Grape Blueberry, Raspberry Pomegranate, Lemonade Passionfruit, Orange Cranberry Tangerine, Blue Raspberry, Pink Citrus Berry, Kiwi Lime and Goji Black Cherry.
Cott operates soft drink, juice, water and other beverage bottling facilities in the US, Canada, UK and Mexico and markets beverage concentrates in over 50 countries across the world.
